My name is Jerry Forbis. I am pleased to meet you and welcome you to Forbis Numis. Forbis Numis. is an ecommerce, virtual sole proprietorship located in central California. The staff consists of myself, my beautiful wife Diane and our dutiful chiweenie, Buddy.
My journey into the world of Numismatics began in the mid 1950's when my grandfather introduced me to penny collecting. We spent many hours together searching pocket change to fill the "holes" in a coin holder. My interest in coin collecting was very casual through high school, college and during most of my career activities.
The following information is provided as credentials to effectively and successfully serve you. Academic pursuits include an Associates of Arts Degree in Business Administration, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management and a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA). I joined the United States Marine Corps after graduating from college and was commissioned a second lieutenant. After completing a tour of active duty, I joined the military reserve for several years and was honorably discharged from the Army Reserve as a Lieutenant Colonel of Infantry. Other career pursuits include: undergraduate and graduate level college instructor; flight instructor; commercial pilot and employment in the automotive industry.
Formal entry into the world of numismatics began in 1999 when I began to participate as a dealer at coin shows, build a numismatic resource library and started a coin store on eBay. The foundation principles of our company operations are honor, integrity and honesty. Our company mission is to assist your adventure in coin collecting. Our primary purpose is to provide the casual and avid coin collector a source of U.S. coins at reasonable prices. At present, most of our coin shop inventory consists of the more popular series of coins. More coin series will be added as consumer demand dictates and company resources allow.
